“Doi Inthanon” the highest mountain peak of Thailand. The summit is 2,565 m. (8,415 ft.) above sea level. It’s far from Chiang Mai city 100 km. and take about 2 hours by car. The weather is cooling all season.
Get panoramic views of the mountains Northern Thailand on a full-day tour to Doi Inthanon National Park. Visit a local market of the Hmong hill tribe and explore the waterfalls. Recommend you to bring a light jacket as the mountain top be cool and the weather change all the time.
This activity is an example for 1 day trip to going up there and back to town. You can doing this route by your own car but you have to skilled driving on the mountain road which twist and turn, steep and a huge crowd gathered in the street outside.

Chiang Mai is a popular destination and a lot of Thai tourist visiting on cool season by their own car. That’s why the Thailand’s holiday weekend sees surge in road accidents. There were many cars overturned and losing control on the road down from Doi Inthanon. The reason why is they have no experience when driving difference locations and especillay on the mountain high.
Please note be that you have to skilled and experience driving on the mountain road.
