Chiang Mai offers accommodation at every class, depending on your budget and travel duration. Some accommodations may be located in narrow alleys, making access by car inconvenient.
Most are still concentrated in the old city area. However, consider the traffic congestion on the outskirts, and some may be less well-known.
Therefore, I will present my experiences from frequenting these accommodations, while also trying to cover other provinces.

Homestay
Originally, homestay meant accommodation where guests could stay with a host, have local meals and activities, and exchange cultures while traveling. Today, it is a business that is beyond its definition and development.
Hostels
Hostels are different from guesthouses, which are also budget-friendly accommodations. However, most hostels have dormitories that accommodate 4-8 people, with bunk beds depending on the space and design. Some may have private rooms.
Hotels
Standard accommodation with room types and designs according to market needs. There are international accommodation procedures, and it is convenient to book online.
Resorts
It is a place to stay surrounded by nature, with the same facilities and methods as a hotel. Some places have their own unique identity, such as flowers, plants, or at least have relaxing decorations.
Laxury
A luxurious place to stay, whether in the heart of the city or surrounded by nature, with the same amenities and methods as a hotel, but using high-quality materials and components, it has its own unique identity and priority on decoration.
